Denpasar — The Bali Regional Police held a Hari Kesaktian Pancasila ceremony at its headquarters on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, with Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya reaffirming the force’s commitment to protecting the public, preserving national unity and safeguarding Indonesia’s territorial integrity.
The ceremony brought together Deputy Chief Brig. Gen. I Made Astawa, senior police officials and personnel. The observance presented Pancasila as Indonesia’s state foundation and national ideology, while emphasizing that its values should guide police work.
Why the ceremony matters to visitors and foreign residents
For foreigners in Bali, the message is principally about the public-facing role of the police: maintaining security and public order while providing services described by the force as professional, firm, humane and fair. The police said Bali should remain safe, peaceful, orderly and conducive to daily life.
The ceremony also underscored that preserving security and unity is not solely a police responsibility. The Bali Regional Police said it would strengthen cooperation with the Indonesian military, local government, religious leaders, customary leaders, community figures and other members of the public.
The observance was held as Indonesia marked Hari Kesaktian Pancasila, a national commemoration centered on Pancasila’s role as the country’s ideological and unifying foundation. Police officials said the occasion served as a reminder of their responsibility to protect those principles through their daily duties.
