Mandalika MotoGP drives Senggigi hotel bookings to 95%

Senggigi — Hotels in Senggigi, West Lombok, recorded booking rates of up to 95% ahead of the Mandalika MotoGP, according to Bali Post on Oct. 9, 2026.

Why it matters: Visitors attending the Mandalika MotoGP may find several Senggigi hotels fully booked, while reported booking levels at some properties reached 95% during the Oct. 9-11 event.

The Mandalika MotoGP is scheduled for Oct. 9-11 at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit. Several Senggigi hotels had already reached full booking for the event period, state broadcaster RRI reported on Oct. 7.

I Ketut M Jaya Kusuma, chairman of the Senggigi Hotel Association, said some hotels reported booking levels of 80% to 90%, while smaller properties remained below 60%. At Holiday Resort, bookings reached 85% on Oct. 9-10 and 95% on Oct. 11, Bali Post reported.

RRI reported that Merumatta, Holiday Inn and Aruna had confirmed full booking. The report attributed the rise in demand to visitors seeking accommodation outside the circuit area in Lombok Barat.

The booking pattern was mixed. Bali Post reported that Holiday Resort's reservations were largely from foreign tourists, including visitors from Germany, the Netherlands, France and Italy, while Merumatta's bookings were dominated by domestic travellers.

RRI reported that the increase was expected to continue as the race approached. The official MotoGP calendar lists the Indonesian event at Mandalika from Oct. 9 to Oct. 11, with the Grand Prix race scheduled for Oct. 11.
