Denpasar — PT Pertamina Patra Niaga said on Oct. 15 that 66 fuel stations in Denpasar and Badung were operating around the clock as the company worked to ease fuel queues across Bali.
The company said it had also placed 108 tanker trucks into service, supported by 465 tanker-truck crew members. The 108-truck fleet comprised 99 standby units and nine additional units hired through a spot-charter arrangement. Pertamina said the deployment was intended to strengthen deliveries from fuel terminals to stations.
Fuel Terminal Sanggaran and Integrated Terminal Manggis were also operating 24 hours, according to reports citing the company. The measures followed persistent lines at fuel stations in Bali and were part of an effort to improve access while distribution was being reinforced.
Why the 24-hour operation matters to Bali travelers and residents
For foreign residents and visitors, the change means that selected stations in Denpasar and Badung were available throughout the day and night, rather than following shorter operating hours. It does not mean every fuel station in Bali had 24-hour service, nor does it guarantee that queues would disappear immediately.
The operational figures also describe logistics behind the public-facing change. The 465 crew members included 365 standby personnel and 100 personnel providing assistance from other regions. The terminals in Sanggaran and Manggis served as the round-the-clock points supporting receipt and distribution of fuel.
Reports said the measures were being used to accelerate distribution and reduce queues. They did not state a broader change to fuel eligibility, pricing or the rules governing who could purchase fuel. For visitors renting vehicles and for residents relying on private transport, the practical effect was greater availability at the 66 named stations, while conditions elsewhere remained dependent on local supply and demand.
