Mangupura — Fuel supplies in Badung had improved by Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, with severe queues no longer reported at filling stations, particularly in Abiansemal. Police nevertheless continued patrols to monitor conditions and the implementation of an odd-even refueling system.

AKP Komang Juniawan, acting head of the Abiansemal Police Sector, said operations at the area's filling stations were running normally. Dedicated security posts were no longer required, but officers continued to patrol and observe developments. The report identified six filling stations in Abiansemal, including sites on Jalan Raya Sibangkaja, Jalan Raya Latu, Jalan Raya Ahmad Yani Utara, Darmasaba, Jalan Raya Darmasaba and in Mekar Bhuwana.

Why it matters to readers

For foreign residents and visitors driving through Badung, the report indicates that the acute disruption at Abiansemal filling stations had eased, while police remained present to manage any renewed congestion. The monitoring also meant that the odd-even system for fuel purchases was still being observed on its third day.

The improved conditions followed a period of prolonged queues. Earlier reports from Oct. 13 described heavy lines at the Latu station in Abiansemal, including traffic congestion and a motorcyclist who fainted after waiting for fuel for hours. Police and local authorities had deployed personnel to regulate traffic, discourage motorists from overtaking in queues, and address risks around the stations.

The Oct. 20 report said the continuing patrols were intended to ensure orderly application of the odd-even system, anticipate vehicle build-up and maintain public order. It did not report a new disruption or announce an end date for the monitoring.
