Denpasar — Bali’s 2026 Education Integrity Assessment recorded an average score of 77,27 across the province’s nine regencies and municipalities, with Buleleng highest at 79,06 and Badung lowest at 76,26.

The newly reported district-level figures add detail to the provincial assessment published on Oct. 6. Five areas—Karangasem, Denpasar, Gianyar, Jembrana and Badung—were classified as Adaptif, while Buleleng, Tabanan, Bangli and Klungkung were classified as Korektif.

The figures come from the Education Integrity Survey, a national assessment coordinated by Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission, known as the KPK. The index measures integrity through student character, the education ecosystem and school governance. Higher scores indicate stronger integrity.

Why Bali’s district scores matter to foreign residents

For foreign residents and visitors, the assessment does not create a new immigration, tourism or schooling rule. Its practical significance is that it identifies differences among Bali’s local education jurisdictions, which oversee public education and related administrative services in their respective areas.

The provincial average is a simple average of the nine regency and municipal results, rather than the separate provincial score shown in the national index. The published data also caution that 2024 and 2026 results cannot be compared directly because the 2026 survey instrument was revised after input from experts and statisticians.

The assessment describes the Adaptif category as reflecting more stable integrity practices, increasingly directed stakeholder collaboration and improving governance, while still requiring refinement. The Korektif category identifies areas where improvement efforts have begun but remain incomplete.

The results are scheduled for dissemination from Oct. 7 through Dec. 31, 2026. The published reports do not state a further enforcement measure or a separate deadline for foreign families, international schools or visitors.
