Denpasar — Bali was forecast to be mostly cloudy on Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, with temperatures ranging from 18–31 °C, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency (BMKG). No regency or city was listed under a rain warning from 08:00 WITA on Oct. 5 to 08:00 WITA on Oct. 6.
The forecast also placed wave heights in the waters south of Bali at 0,5–3,0 metres. BMKG-linked reporting said the conditions could pose risks to ferry services when winds reach 21 knots and waves reach 2,5 metres, while fishing boats face a stated threshold of 15 knots and waves of 1,25 metres.
Why southern Bali’s forecast matters to travellers
For visitors, the most consequential part of the forecast is not the cloud cover but the sea conditions. Ferry crossings and fishing activity depend on the interaction of wind speed and wave height, so a forecast maximum does not mean that every route will experience that height throughout the day. The reported thresholds identify conditions under which ferry and fishing-boat operations may become hazardous.
The district-by-district forecast reported by detikBali described Berawan, or cloudy, conditions in Jembrana, Tabanan, Badung, Gianyar, Klungkung, Buleleng and Denpasar. It listed haze or smoke in Bangli and hazy air in Karangasem. The reported temperature ranges varied by district, while the Bali-wide range was 18–31 °C.
The southern waters were forecast at 0,5–3,0 metres, compared with 0,5–1,5 metres in northern Bali waters. The weather reports advised continued attention to changing conditions and updated information, but did not state a closure or cancellation of ferry services.
