Denpasar — The Bali Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, detained SLD, the president director of PT Danau Winata Indah, after naming him a suspect in an alleged corruption case involving provincial government land in Jimbaran, South Kuta, Badung.
Investigators concluded that they had obtained two sufficient pieces of evidence, according to reports from detikBali and Bali Post. SLD was held at the Class IIA Kerobokan Prison for 20 days, from Sept. 30 through Oct. 19, 2026.
Why the case matters to people in Bali
The case concerns land controlled by the Bali provincial government, making it relevant to foreign residents, visitors and businesses that use or develop property on the island. The reports describe a lease arrangement between the provincial government and PT Danau Winata Indah that began in 2007. The land was located in Jimbaran, South Kuta, Badung.
According to the reports, the case also concerns the sale of 125 condotel units at Avani Nusa Dua Bali Hotel to PT Asabri (Persero). Bali Post reported an agreed transaction value of Rp100 billion (about US$6.25 million). The property was built on land under the control of the Bali provincial government.
For a foreign resident or visitor, the practical point is that the detention is a criminal-law development involving the use of public land; it does not itself establish that all accommodation or property activity in Jimbaran is affected. The reports identify SLD and PT Danau Winata Indah as the parties linked to the investigation.
The Bali Prosecutor’s Office said SLD was detained under a detention order dated Sept. 30, 2026. The reported detention period runs until Oct. 19, 2026. The reports did not state a later procedural outcome.
