Denpasar — Bali is forecast to have mostly clear-cloudy conditions on Tuesday, Oct. 6, with temperatures from 17–32°C, while the southern waters could see waves as high as 3.0 metres, according to the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
The forecast applies to Bali during the day and night of Oct. 6. A separate report citing BMKG’s early-warning information says no Bali regency or city was assigned a rain warning from 08:00 WITA on Oct. 6 to 08:00 WITA on Oct. 7. Winds are expected from the east to southeast at 4–38 kilometres per hour.
Southern Bali waves matter for ferries and fishing boats
For visitors, the main practical issue is maritime travel rather than conditions on land. The southern Bali waters are forecast to have waves ranging from 0.5–3.0 metres. The same weather information identifies risks for ferry operators when winds reach 21 knots with waves of 2.5 metres, and for fishermen when winds reach 15 knots with waves of 1.25 metres.
BMKG’s forecast also puts wave heights in northern Bali waters at 0.5–1.5 metres. A separate report identifies the southern Bali waters, the southern Bali Strait, the Badung Strait and the Lombok Strait among areas requiring caution because of potentially high waves, though its reported southern Bali maximum differs from the 3.0-metre figure in the Oct. 6 Bali forecast.
The forecast is dated Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026. Weather and marine conditions can change as new BMKG observations and forecasts are issued.
