Denpasar — The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) forecast cloudy weather across Bali on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, with temperatures from 19–32°C and humidity ranging from 45–98%.
The forecast covers all of Bali’s regencies and city, including Denpasar, and was based on analysis by BMKG’s regional office. Conditions were expected to remain cloudy across the island during the day.
Why the forecast matters for travel in Bali
For visitors and foreign residents, the main practical issue is the sea forecast rather than the cloud cover. The same report said BMKG identified risks to ferry operations when winds reach 21 knots with waves of 2,5 metres, and to fishing boats when winds reach 15 knots with waves of 1,25 metres.
Those thresholds describe conditions under which marine travel and small-boat activity become more hazardous; they do not announce a general closure of ferries or ports. Travellers using sea crossings and people joining fishing or other small-boat trips are therefore within the groups directly affected by the marine forecast.
BMKG’s forecast also put the wind direction at east to southeast, with speeds of 4–32 kilometres per hour. Bali Post said there was no district or city-level warning for rain ranging from light to extreme between 08.00 WITA on Friday and 08.00 WITA on Saturday, Oct. 3.
The reported sea conditions varied by area. Detik reported the islandwide temperature and humidity ranges and listed cloudy conditions for each regency and Denpasar.
