Denpasar — The Bajra Sandhi Monument recorded 27 traditional-photo or prewedding sessions from June through August 2026, with foreign participants involved in 24 and domestic participants in three, according to data from the monument’s management unit.
The figures, reported on Sept. 30, show that international participants accounted for most of the sessions held at the landmark in Renon, Denpasar. The report identifies the managing body as the UPTD Monumen Perjuangan Rakyat Bali, a local technical implementing unit responsible for the monument.
Why the sessions matter to visitors and foreign residents
For foreign visitors and couples living in Bali, the figures show that Bajra Sandhi is being used not only as a historical and public attraction but also as a formal setting for traditional photography and prewedding shoots. The reported count refers to activities recorded by the management unit during the three-month period, rather than to the number of people or couples involved.
A separate report published in February described proposed revisions to monument charges, including lower proposed prewedding fees for international and domestic visitors. Those proposals are distinct from the June–August activity figures and do not establish that the proposed tariffs had taken effect during the period covered by the new report.
Those amounts are described as potential retribution revenue, not confirmed receipts.
