Bali’s 2025 economic growth was 5.82 percent, while poverty stood at 3.42 percent and open unemployment at 1.45 percent. These measures describe different parts of the provincial economy: output growth, the share of residents below the poverty line, and the share of the labour force without work, according to the Bali provincial government, 2026.
What was Bali’s economic growth in 2025?
Bali’s economy grew 5.82 percent cumulatively in 2025, up from 5.48 percent in 2024, according to the Bali provincial government citing official data released by BPS on February 5, 2026.
Growth measures the change in the value of goods and services produced in the province. It does not, by itself, show whether income is evenly distributed or whether every household benefited.
How much poverty did Bali record?
Bali’s poverty rate was 3.42 percent in 2025, down from 3.80 percent in 2024, according to the Bali provincial government, 2026. The rate is a proportion of the population classified as poor under the official statistical measure.
The same government release reported a 2025 Gini ratio of 0.333, compared with 0.348 in 2024. The Gini ratio is an inequality indicator, so it adds distributional context that headline economic growth does not provide.
What happened to unemployment?
Open unemployment was 1.45 percent in Bali in 2025, compared with 1.79 percent in 2024, according to the Bali provincial government, 2026. This indicator concerns the labour force rather than the entire population.
That distinction matters when reading the figure: people outside the labour force are not counted in the open-unemployment rate.
How large was Bali’s economy in the second quarter?
Bali’s gross regional domestic product at current prices reached IDR 81.39 trillion in the second quarter of 2025, while growth from a year earlier was 5.95 percent, according to BPS-Statistics Indonesia, 2025.
BPS reported that accommodation and food services contributed 22.76 percent of production in that quarter, while household consumption accounted for 51.77 percent of expenditure. These are quarterly measures and should not be confused with the full-year 2025 growth rate.
What does the data show overall?
The indicators point to growth alongside lower measured poverty, inequality and open unemployment in 2025. BPS’s quarterly figures also show the continuing weight of accommodation and food services and household consumption in Bali’s economic structure, according to BPS, 2025.
