Bali — Danantara Indonesia and event organiser Richard Attias & Associates will hold the inaugural New Asia Forum in Bali on 3–4 December 2026, with a target of US$30 billion in investment commitments for Asia.
Why it matters: The event is scheduled to bring international investors and policymakers to Bali and focus on investment opportunities across eight sectors from 3 December 2026.
The forum is intended to connect long-term capital with investment opportunities and policymakers, according to an announcement carried by AAP News. DetikFinance reported that the event will focus on turning investment opportunities into concrete commitments.
Eight sectors
The organisers said the target will be pursued through opportunities across eight strategic sectors: strategic resources and downstreaming; energy and power; mobility and advanced manufacturing; digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence; food and agribusiness; trade and connectivity; tourism and the creative economy; and education and human capital.
DetikFinance reported that the forum will bring together heads of state, ministers, sovereign investors and global chief executives to discuss projects and partnerships in Indonesia and the wider Asian region.
Forum format
The inaugural event is planned as an invitation-only gathering lasting two days. The organisers expect more than 1,000 leaders, over 100 speakers and more than 40 sessions, according to the announcement carried by AAP News.
Danantara, Indonesia’s sovereign investment agency, is supporting the forum, which is being produced by Richard Attias & Associates. The event is presented as an ongoing platform intended to track investment commitments and progress between editions.
