Bali — Organizers reported on October 13, 2026, that the New Asia Forum is targeting US$30 billion, or about Rp536.74 trillion, in investment through its event in Bali on Dec. 3–4, 2026. The forum is intended to connect long-term capital with investment opportunities in Indonesia and the wider Asian region.
The two-day gathering will bring together government leaders, sovereign investors, institutional capital providers and global business executives. Its investment pipeline is expected to cover eight strategic sectors, including natural resources and downstream processing, energy and power, mobility and advanced manufacturing, digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence, food and agribusiness, trade and connectivity, tourism and the creative economy, and education and human capital development.
Why the Bali forum matters to investors and businesses
For foreign investors, the event is designed as a transaction-focused platform rather than a conventional conference. Organizers say it will match international capital with curated, investment-ready projects and move discussions toward formal investment commitments. That means the forum’s practical significance lies in the projects and financing opportunities presented, rather than in attendance alone.
The New Asia Forum is backed by Danantara Indonesia and global advisory firm Richard Attias & Associates. The inaugural edition will be held by invitation only and is expected to include more than 1,000 invited participants, more than 100 speakers and more than 40 sessions over two days.
Organizers also plan to track pledged investments between annual editions. The stated aim is to support accountability and follow-through after commitments are made, while advancing projects across the forum’s eight strategic pillars.
