Mandalika — The Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 drew 157,875 spectators to the Mandalika International Circuit in Central Lombok over three days, from Oct. 9 through Oct. 11.
The attendance set a new record for the Mandalika MotoGP event since Indonesia returned to the calendar in 2022. The crowd grew across the weekend, with 39,510 spectators recorded on Friday, 53,296 on Saturday and 65,069 on Sunday, the highest daily figure.
The figures were reported by the organizers and cited by several Indonesian news outlets after the race weekend. The event was held in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, with Sunday’s attendance providing the largest share of the three-day total.
Why it matters for visitors to Lombok
The record gives a clear measure of the scale of Mandalika’s international sporting calendar. For foreign visitors, it means the circuit can draw tens of thousands of people to southern Lombok across a single race weekend, affecting demand for transport, accommodation and access around the venue.
The increase also places the 2026 event above recent attendance totals. The reported figures were 102,801 spectators in 2022, 102,929 in 2023, 121,252 in 2024 and 140,324 in 2025. The 2026 total was 17,551 higher than the previous year.
Investor.id reported that the continuation of the Mandalika race in 2027 still awaited a decision from President Prabowo Subianto and certainty over the event contract. No further decision was stated in the reports reviewed.
