Nusa Dua Harbour opens Ekajaya fast boat link to Lombok and Gili Islands

Denpasar — Nusa Dua Harbour on Bali’s Tanjung Benoa peninsula has opened as a new fast boat terminal linking south Bali with Lombok, the Gili Islands, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida, with services operated by Ekajaya Fast Ferry according to the company and online booking platforms.

The harbour, described as a brand-new terminal exclusive to the Ekajaya fleet, began operating in June 2026 and is promoted as a more convenient departure point for travellers staying in Uluwatu, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta and Seminyak, who previously had to travel to Serangan or Padang Bai for most fast boat crossings.

New terminal in south Bali

Located in the Benoa area, the terminal is marketed as providing a controlled boarding environment, with a dedicated facility and extended pier designed to improve passenger access to vessels. Information published by Ekajaya states that Nusa Dua is now one of its principal Bali departure points, alongside Padang Bai, for services to Lombok and the Gili Islands.

According to a July 2026 report from a Bali-based travel magazine, the harbour was developed as a sea travel hub for residents and visitors in south Bali, opening direct routes from Nusa Dua to Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Penida, the Gili Islands and Lombok. Online ticketing platforms show Ekajaya Patra operating a Nusa Dua–Gili Trawangan service with an advertised crossing time of around two and a half hours, shorter than some other published options on the same corridor.

Travel-time guidance from regional booking sites indicates approximate durations of about 45 minutes from Nusa Dua to Nusa Penida, just over an hour to Nusa Lembongan, two to three hours to Senggigi, and between two and a half and three and a half hours to Gili Trawangan, depending on the specific departure and route.

Capacity and operations

A Bali travel community report states that the Nusa Dua terminal is designed to handle up to 682 passengers per day. Ekajaya’s schedules and reseller platforms list morning and afternoon sailings, with some services stopping at multiple islands en route, and advise passengers to check in around one hour before departure.

Online booking portals note that tickets from Nusa Dua to Lombok include harbour taxes in the fare, with no additional port fees charged at Nusa Dua or on arrival in Lombok. Several platforms also emphasise that travellers should confirm check-in locations, boarding times and any transfer arrangements in advance, particularly when connecting to accommodation or onward transport.
