TransNusa plans daily Melbourne–Bali flights from 19 October

Bali — TransNusa says it will begin daily Melbourne–Bali flights on 19 October 2026, with introductory one-way fares starting at AUD299 and a new Premium Plus cabin priced from AUD699. The airline also says the route will launch alongside its first Premium Plus product, offering 20 seats per flight and added baggage benefits.

According to reporting by Bali Discovery and other outlets that carried the airline’s announcement, the Melbourne service will be TransNusa’s second Australian route after Perth. The new connection is being promoted as part of the carrier’s wider international network via Bali, which it says will give passengers access to onward flights in Indonesia and beyond.

TransNusa’s published schedule lists flight 8B18 departing Bali at 20:45 and arriving in Melbourne at 05:40 the next morning, with the return service 8B19 leaving Melbourne at 06:25 and landing in Bali at 09:40. Independent reports also say the route will use an Airbus A320.

The fare structure appears straightforward at launch: basic seats start at AUD299, while Premium Plus starts at AUD699. Reports say those prices include 20 kilograms of checked baggage, while meals, drinks and other extras are sold separately.

Premium Plus is being positioned as a mid-tier option between standard economy and business class. TransNusa says it is designed for travellers who want priority-style benefits and more comfort without paying full business-class prices.

The announcement also comes as TransNusa continues to market Bali as a transit point for Australian travellers heading to destinations such as Wakatobi, Manado, Bima and Lombok in Indonesia, as well as Singapore, Phuket and Guangzhou. The airline has framed the Melbourne service as part of its broader international expansion strategy.
