Denpasar — Pertamina said delayed Pertalite deliveries had contributed to long queues at fuel stations in Denpasar and Kuta Selatan, Bali, while a new supply arrived on Oct. 7, 2026.
Ahad Rahedi, Area Manager for Communication, Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus, said the company was adjusting distribution to maintain fuel availability across Bali. The statement was issued on Oct. 8, 2026.
Supply adjustments affect fuel access across Bali
Reports described queues at several filling stations in Denpasar and southern Badung, including Kuta Selatan. A separate account said queues extended toward roads and that fuel availability varied among stations. Police monitoring in Kuta Selatan on Oct. 7 found that some stations still had Pertalite, while others had run out of certain fuel types.
The disruption was attributed to delayed Pertalite deliveries. In Kuta Selatan, supplies from the Sanggaran Depot and Manggis Transit Terminal were reported to have been reduced by about 30–40 percent for each station. Distribution could also be affected by delays involving tanker trucks because of traffic congestion or infrastructure repairs.
For residents and visitors, the practical effect was uneven availability at individual fuel stations rather than a confirmed islandwide shutdown. Drivers could encounter long waits or find that a preferred fuel was unavailable, particularly in the areas named in the reports.
Pertamina said the next delivery was scheduled to arrive on Oct. 11, 2026. The company also said it was accelerating recovery by optimizing stock management, facility readiness and operational coordination.
