Denpasar — — Bali’s provincial agriculture and food-security agency identifies Governor Decree No. 697/03-F/HK/2026 as the decision on the province’s Rabies Control Task Force, according to the agency’s official page. The same page shows it was published on 20 July 2026 and updated on 14 September 2026.

Another provincial government page on the Bali Disaster Management Agency site is titled “Informasi Penangan Rabies di Provinsi Bali 2026,” but the material available there does not add operational details about the task force. Together, the two official pages confirm that Bali is publicly posting rabies-response information through more than one provincial channel.

The agriculture agency page lists the decree title as “Keputusan Gubernur Bali Nomor 697/03-F/HK/2026” and says its subject is “Satuan Tugas Pengendalian Rabies Provinsi Bali.” It also displays a download link for the decision, indicating that the full text exists on the provincial site.

What can be confirmed from the pages reviewed is limited to the decree’s number, subject and posting dates. The publicly visible text does not name task-force members, spell out duties, identify the governor in the article itself or set out implementation deadlines.

That matters because rabies control on the island remains a major public-health issue. Local reporting in September 2026 said Bali’s Health Office had counted 52,645 animal-bite cases across the province by 11 September and 7 rabies deaths so far in 2026, underscoring why clear reporting lines and response instructions are important.

For now, the safest interpretation is that Decree 697/03-F/HK/2026 is Bali’s formal administrative basis for a provincial rabies task force, while the operational details must be checked in the downloadable decision itself or in later implementation notices. The two official pages confirm the decree exists and is current, but not the full mechanics of enforcement.

What the official pages confirm

  • Decision number: 697/03-F/HK/2026.
  • Subject: Bali Provincial Rabies Control Task Force.
  • Original publication date shown: 20 July 2026.
  • Update date shown: 14 September 2026.
  • Hosting institutions: Bali provincial agriculture and food-security agency and Bali BPBD.

What remains unconfirmed in the public text

  • Task-force membership and chairmanship.
  • Specific duties for animal control, vaccination, public information or movement monitoring.
  • Reporting channels for residents seeking help or making complaints.
  • Whether the decree replaces an earlier rabies-control decision.

Bali’s provincial government has treated rabies as a continuing concern throughout 2026, and the appearance of a named task-force decree on an official provincial site suggests the response is being handled at the provincial level. The pages reviewed here, however, do not by themselves establish the full chain of command or the public-facing procedure for reporting bites or suspected rabies cases.
