Tabanan council assigns five draft bylaws, including 2026 budget revision

Tabanan — Tabanan’s local council has assigned five strategic draft regional regulations, including a revision of the 2026 budget, to its budget committee and three special committees following an internal plenary session on 14 September 2026, according to local media reports.

The five draft bylaws cover amendments to the 2026 Regional Budget (APBD), capital participation in two regional enterprises, the management of integrated utility networks and the protection of sustainable food-crop agricultural land.

According to Bali Pikiran Rakyat, the council’s Budget Committee (Badan Anggaran, or Banggar) was tasked with examining the draft regulation on amendments to the 2026 APBD, while three special committees were formed to scrutinise the four non-budget drafts.

Committee assignments

Bali Pikiran Rakyat reports that Special Committee III, chaired by Anak Agung Nyoman Darma Putra, will review a draft regulation on Tabanan’s capital participation in PT Penjaminan Kredit Bali Mandara and the regional enterprise Perumda Sanjayaning Singasana.

Special Committee IV, led by I Gusti Nyoman Omardani, has been assigned the draft regulation on the provision of Integrated Utility Network Facilities (Sarana Jaringan Utilitas Terpadu, SJUT). The committee is expected to formulate standards for underground utility networks aimed at tidying overhead operator cables and improving urban aesthetics and public safety, according to the same report.

Special Committee V, headed by I Wayan Lara, is responsible for the draft regulation on the protection of sustainable food-crop agricultural land (LP2B), which is intended to curb the conversion of productive rice fields in Tabanan, a major rice-producing area of Bali.
