Hotel occupancy provides a second measure of demand. Star-rated properties reached 67.29% occupancy, compared with 42.53% for non-star accommodation. Bali’s five-star hotels recorded 74.45% occupancy, although that figure refers to a narrower category than all star-rated hotels.

Australia was identified as Bali’s largest international market, followed by China, India, France and the United Kingdom.
