Denpasar — Bali’s inflation reached 3,79 percent year on year in September 2026. Monthly inflation was 0,32 percent, while inflation from the start of the year reached 2,49 percent.
The change comes as prices in Bali continue to shape household budgets and tourism-related consumption. The figures describe the movement of consumer prices across the province; they do not, by themselves, measure changes in visitors’ numbers or tourism revenue.
Why Bali’s inflation matters to visitors and residents
For foreign residents and visitors, a higher annual inflation rate can affect the cost of everyday spending in Bali, including food, transport and other services. The reported figures are provincewide measures, so the experience of an individual household or traveler may differ depending on location, consumption and the prices charged by particular businesses.
Bali’s September inflation was 0,32 percent on a monthly basis and 2,49 percent on a calendar-year basis. The annual rate was 3,79 percent. These measures provide three views of the same price environment: the monthly change compares September with August, the calendar-year figure covers the period since January, and the annual figure compares September with the same month a year earlier.
The annual figure did not automatically indicate weakening purchasing power.
