Denpasar — Bali officials reported that foreign tourist arrivals remained at 20,000 to 24,000 a day and domestic arrivals at 12,000 to 14,000, while the province’s foreign-tourist levy had reached Rp289 billion (about US$18.1 million) by Sept. 20, 2026.
The figures were presented by Bali Gov. Wayan Koster during a Bali Regional House of Representatives plenary session on Sept. 21.
Stable arrivals keep Bali’s tourism levy in focus
For foreign visitors, the levy is the provincial charge known as the Pungutan Wisatawan Asing, or PWA. The latest figures show the revenue collected from that charge alongside the continuing flow of international arrivals, while the daily arrival range provides a current measure of visitor traffic reported by the provincial government.
The Bali Post report said compliance among foreign tourists paying the PWA had risen to about 43 percent by Sept. 20, compared with about 35 percent in 2025. Detik Bali reported the same Rp289 billion (about US$18.1 million) total and the average daily collection range, while quoting Koster’s figures for foreign and domestic arrivals.
The reports did not state a new levy rate or announce a change to entry rules. They described arrivals as stable and said collections had continued to increase through Sept. 20.
