Sanggulan in Banjar Anyar — Tabanan’s disaster management agency proposed flood-detection alarms for three locations after heavy rain caused flooding in parts of the regency, according to a Bali Post report published on October 29, 2026.
Why it matters: The proposal could affect flood warnings at three Tabanan locations, while official records document earlier flooding that affected 28 households in Kediri.
The reported proposal would provide an early warning when river levels rise. The report does not establish that the alarms have been approved, installed or activated.
An official report from Bali’s disaster management agency confirms that heavy rain previously flooded Sanggulan in Banjar Anyar, Kediri, on July 6, 2025. The flooding affected 28 households, with 25 households evacuating to relatives’ homes and three remaining in their houses.
The same official report said flooding also affected a housing complex in Nyitdah, Kediri, where one five-person household was evacuated to a neighbour’s home. Response teams from Bali and Tabanan disaster agencies carried out evacuations and coordinated with village officials.
The Bali agency advised residents in flood-prone areas and along riverbanks to remain alert to further flooding, report emergencies to disaster officials or village authorities, and follow weather information from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency.
The agency’s report is dated July 6, 2025, while the Bali Post report concerns the proposed alarm installations on October 29, 2026. The Meteorology agency separately warned of moderate to heavy rain in parts of Bali, including Tabanan, from October 28 to 31, 2026.
