Tanah Lot festival drew 10,000 visitors and Rp10 billion turnover
Tanah Lot Art and Food Festival VII drew about 10,000 visitors over three days and an estimated Rp10 billion in turnover, according to management and local reports.

Tabanan — — The seventh Tanah Lot Art and Food Festival drew about 10,000 visitors over three days and generated an estimated Rp10 billion in economic turnover, according to DTW Tanah Lot management and local media reports.
Manajer Operasional DTW Tanah Lot, I Wayan Sudiana, said the festival ran from 28 to 30 August 2026 at the Tanah Lot tourist attraction in Beraban village, Kediri district, Tabanan, and averaged roughly 3,500 to 4,000 visitors a day. He said the turnout was stronger than normal days and that the estimate covered spending beyond the attraction itself, including nearby stalls, restaurants, hotels and other services.
The festival was officially opened on 28 August with an okokan performance, and organisers said it aimed to attract around 10,000 visitors during the event. Local reports also said the three-day programme featured a sunset parade of gebogan offerings and baleganjur music, along with cultural performances, handicrafts and stalls run by local micro, small and medium enterprises.
Food and cultural programme
The festival’s food theme centred on ulam carik, a Tabanan culinary tradition linked to rice-field ingredients, including eel, field snails and river fish. Reports also said the event included 40 daytime stalls and 26 evening market stalls.
Local coverage said the gebogan procession was split across the 15 banjar communities in Beraban, with five communities participating each day. The displays were presented in three tiers and decorated in tridatu colours — red, white and black — while the accompanying baleganjur ensemble used gongs and drums.
Deputy Tabanan Regent I Made Dirga attended the opening and encouraged the festival to continue annually, according to local reporting. He also urged organisers to keep innovating in culture, culinary programming and entertainment.
Tanah Lot is one of Bali’s best-known temple attractions and a major tourism site in Tabanan. The festival took place at the DTW Tanah Lot complex, where management said the event was designed to support local businesses and broaden the visitor economy around the attraction.
