Denpasar — The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) warned of moderate to heavy rain in Badung, Tabanan and Buleleng from 8 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, to 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2026. The agency also forecast waves of up to 2.5 metres in the waters south of Bali.

The warning, reported by Bali Post and supported by coverage from IDN Times, places three Bali regencies under heightened weather attention during the stated period. The marine forecast adds a separate risk for people using or working on the southern waters, with ferry operations affected when winds reach 21 knots alongside 2.5-metre waves. For fishermen, the report identifies risk at 15-knot winds and waves reaching 1.25 metres.

Why the warning matters for Bali visitors

For foreign visitors, the forecast concerns both land travel in the three regencies and sea crossings or fishing activity along Bali’s southern coast. The warning does not announce a closure or a change to immigration rules; it describes weather conditions that may affect transport and outdoor plans. The reported forecast also lists easterly to southeasterly winds at 4–32 kilometres per hour and temperatures of 22–33 degrees Celsius.

BMKG is Indonesia’s national weather agency. Its warning was issued for a defined 24-hour period, rather than as a general forecast for the whole month. IDN Times separately reported that southern Bali waters could see waves ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 metres and that residents of Badung, Buleleng and Tabanan should remain alert for moderate to heavy rain.
