Sanur — Bali’s marine forecast for Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026, puts the highest forecast waves at Sanur and Serangan ports, where conditions around 2 p.m. WITA are expected to reach 1.25–2.5 metres, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) forecast reported by IDN Times.
The forecast places Benoa and Pengambengan at 0.5–1.25 metres. Gilimanuk, Celukan Bawang, Padangbai, Nusa Penida and Kusamba are forecast at 0.1–0.5 metres. BMKG’s broader outlook puts waves in Bali’s northern waters at 0.5–1.25 metres and in its southern waters at 0.5–2.5 metres.
Why the forecast matters for Bali’s port users
For foreign residents and visitors using fast boats, ferries or other services from Sanur and Serangan, the forecast identifies those two ports as the locations with the highest expected wave range among the ports listed. The figures are forecasts, not reports of observed conditions, and apply to the stated 14:00 WITA period.
Balipost separately reported that BMKG expected waves of up to 2.5 metres in waters south of Bali on the same day. It said such conditions could pose risks to ferry vessels when wind speeds reach 21 knots and wave heights reach 2.5 metres, while fishing boats could face risk at 15 knots and 1.25-metre waves.
