Denpasar — PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi Bali scheduled temporary electricity interruptions on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026, during network maintenance in parts of Denpasar, Gianyar, Karangasem, Bangli, Tabanan and Kuta.
The interruptions were scheduled for different locations and time windows, including 10.00–13.00 WITA, 10.30–13.30 WITA, 11.00–14.00 WITA and 12.00–15.00 WITA. PLN said the maintenance was intended to support the reliability of the electricity system and the quality of supply to customers.
Why the scheduled cuts matter to Bali visitors and residents
For foreign residents, visitors and businesses in the affected areas, the notice means electricity may be unavailable temporarily at the listed locations during the relevant window. The report does not indicate that all of Denpasar, Kuta or the other named areas will lose power; the interruptions apply to specific locations identified in PLN’s schedule.
The schedule covers several parts of Bali rather than one continuous islandwide outage. The affected areas named in the reports include Denpasar, Gianyar, Karangasem, Bangli, Tabanan and Kuta. JPNN Bali described the announcement as coming from PLN UID Bali and said the work involved maintenance and strengthening of the distribution network.
PLN also stated that the maintenance schedule could change depending on technical conditions in the field. The reported windows therefore describe planned interruptions, not a guarantee that every listed outage will occur for the full period. The reports did not state a separate restoration timetable beyond the scheduled windows.
