Denpasar — Bali’s provincial government said on Nov. 3 that its Bali Digital Festival 2026 roadshow had reached schools in Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar, Tabanan, Klungkung and Jembrana, bringing digital technology, business innovation and financial-literacy lessons to students across the island.
The new report said 239 students took part in activities held on Oct. 12–13, 2026, at four schools: SMKN 1 Gianyar, SMAN 1 Payangan, SMAN 7 Denpasar and SMKN 1 Mengwi. The programme included robotics, digital-poster production and group exercises on developing business ideas and models.
A separate account of the wider roadshow said the programme visited nine schools across the six areas. Lessons included Business Model Canvas planning, financial literacy, digital applications and technology-based approaches to local business ideas. The reported examples included a website linking farmers with hotels, an air freshener made from coffee grounds with Internet of Things support, and a phone case made from used tires.
Why the Bali roadshow matters to students and businesses
For students, the programme connected classroom activities with practical decisions involved in starting or managing a business. Business-model sessions addressed customers, product value, income and costs, while financial-literacy classes covered needs and wants, spending priorities and saving habits.
The provincial government’s Diskominfos, or the Department of Communication, Informatics and Statistics, organised the roadshow with Primakara University as the implementing partner.
For foreign residents and visitors, the initiative signals how Bali is framing digital skills as part of its broader economic development rather than as a subject limited to technology specialists. The reports describe the programme as a pre-event for Bali Digital Festival 2026, with activities designed to bring technology, entrepreneurship and everyday financial decision-making into schools.
