Denpasar — Bali had no regency or city under a rain warning from Sunday morning through Monday morning, while the forecast high reached 33 degrees Celsius, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, known as BMKG.
The warning period ran from 08.00 WITA on Oct. 18 to 08.00 WITA on Oct. 19. The alert covered rain ranging from light to extreme, and no kabupaten or kota in Bali was listed.
No Bali district was placed under a rain alert
For foreign residents and visitors, the notice meant that BMKG had not issued a rain warning for any of Bali’s regencies or Denpasar during the stated period. It did not mean that rain was impossible in every location; it described the agency’s warning status for the province.
The forecast described Bali as generally partly cloudy. Temperatures were expected to range from 17 to 33 degrees Celsius, with the highest temperature reported at 33 degrees Celsius. The information was published on Oct. 18 for conditions extending into the morning of Oct. 19.
BMKG is Indonesia’s national agency responsible for meteorological, climatological and geophysical information. Its early-warning categories include conditions ranging from moderate and heavy rain to very heavy and extreme rain.
