Denpasar — Bali’s tourism authorities and industry representatives asked Pertamina on Oct. 22, 2026, to ensure fuel stocks and distribution do not disrupt year-end tourism activity on the island.
The request comes as Bali prepares for a period when visitor movement and transport demand typically increase. The Bali Tourism Office and tourism businesses said reliable supplies of fuel are needed to keep tourist mobility and broader tourism activity running smoothly.
For foreign visitors, the issue concerns the practical movement of people and vehicles across Bali. Fuel availability affects airport transfers, taxis, rental cars, tour vehicles and other transport used to reach hotels, attractions and transport terminals. The report does not announce a new rule for travelers or identify a restriction on tourist movement.
Reliable fuel distribution is central to Bali’s year-end travel plans
The appeal follows fuel-supply and distribution concerns reported elsewhere in Bali during October. Pertamina Patra Niaga said it was monitoring fuel stocks and consumption, while reports described efforts to strengthen deliveries to filling stations and prepare supplies ahead of the year-end period.
One report said Pertalite consumption in Bali through Sept. 30, 2026, had reached 4.239.187 kiloliters, or about 74,4 percent of an annual quota of 5.697.778 kiloliters. It also said remaining supplies for October through December were expected to cover the final three months, including the year-end holiday period, if consumption was controlled.
The tourism authorities’ request places the emphasis on coordination: energy stakeholders are expected to support the tourism sector by maintaining the flow of fuel from storage facilities to filling stations. The report does not state a specific additional volume, guarantee period or follow-up timetable for the request.
