Bali Training Program Ends With 352 Figures in Tabanan

Tabanan — A three-day state-defence training program for 352 religious, customary, community and civil-society figures from across Bali concluded on Sept. 24 at the Rindam IX/Udayana training center in Banjar Anyar village, Kediri district.

The Latihan Kader Bela Negara program ran from Sept. 22 through Sept. 24, 2026, under the 2026 budget year. Participants represented religious figures, customary figures, community figures, mass organizations and community groups at the provincial level.

Why the training matters to Bali’s communities

For foreign residents and visitors, the program is a civic and national-defence initiative rather than a change to immigration or tourism rules. The reported participants were Indonesian community representatives from across Bali, so the training does not create a new obligation for foreign nationals.

Brig. Gen. TNI Anwar, commander of Rindam IX/Udayana, attended the closing event on Sept. 24. He said the training was mandated by the Ministry of Defence to strengthen love of country, nation and state. The program was held at Rindam IX/Udayana in Banjar Anyar village, Kediri district, Tabanan.

The reports identify the participants as figures from religious, customary, community and civil-society organizations. They were trained through the provincial-level Latihan Kader Bela Negara program, which lasted three days.
