Bangli — Bangli’s Regional Disaster Management and Fire Service Agency recorded storm-related disasters in three districts on Sunday night, November 1, 2026, after heavy rain and strong winds hit the regency.

Why it matters: Residents, traders and visitors near affected sites in Bangli faced storm damage and disrupted access, while BMKG forecasts most of Bali’s rainy-season peak for February 2027.

The affected districts were Bangli, Susut and Tembuku, according to the agency’s preliminary assessment. Reported impacts included fallen trees, landslides, damaged buildings and kiosks, and a damaged road that disrupted traffic.

At the Pura Kehen parking area in Cempaga, Bangli District, a landslide hit four kiosks below the site. No deaths were reported, according to agency official I Ketut Agus Sutapa, who said the incidents recorded by the agency had no fatalities.

The agency urged residents to increase preparedness as Bali moves from a drier El Niño pattern toward wetter conditions. Sutapa said the rain in recent days did not represent the peak of the rainy season.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, known as BMKG, forecasts that most of Bali will reach the peak of the 2026-27 rainy season in February 2027. BMKG’s broader national outlook places rainy-season peaks across different parts of Indonesia between December 2026 and February 2027.

Heavy rain began on the night of November 1 and continued into the early hours of November 2, according to local reports. Cleanup at the Pura Kehen site involved heavy equipment and personnel from the military, police and Bangli’s fire service.
