Pelaga — Bali’s disaster agency recorded 64 weather-related incidents across seven regencies and cities from November 1 to 2, 2026, after heavy rain affected the island. The incidents were reported in Gianyar, Badung, Buleleng, Bangli, Klungkung, Karangasem and Denpasar.
Why it matters: Heavy rain affected roads, homes, buildings and public facilities across seven Bali regencies and cities, while two tourists were reported missing after a Badung landslide.
The provincial disaster-management agency said landslides and fallen trees accounted for most of the reports. Other incidents included flooding, damaged or collapsed roads and collapsed buildings, affecting homes, public facilities and access routes.
Two people were reported missing after a landslide struck the Pelaga Eco Park area in Pelaga village, Petang district, Badung, at about 11 p.m. on November 1, according to NusaBali. The report identified the missing people as tourists.
Separate reports described heavy rain and flooding in Karangasem, while damage to roads and landslides were reported in Bangli and Gianyar. In Bangli, flooding severed the main Bangbang–Penaga Landih road in Tembuku, according to Bali Post.
The road failure occurred at about 11 p.m. on November 1 and left a roughly 12-metre section impassable, Bali Post reported. Landslides also damaged kiosks near Kehen Temple in Bangli.
The disaster agency’s incident count was reported differently by Bali Post, which said its situation report recorded 54 incidents during the same period. NusaBali and Tirto reported the higher total of 64 incidents based on statements attributed to Bali’s provincial disaster agency.
