Denpasar — Bank Indonesia projected Bali’s economy to grow 5.4% to 5.9% in 2026 at a stakeholder forum in Denpasar on October 23, 2026.

Why it matters: Businesses and investors receive a 5.4%-5.9% growth outlook for Bali in 2026, with tourism-related activity, consumption and investment among the reported supports.

Achris Sarwani, head of Bank Indonesia’s Bali representative office, presented the outlook during the 2026 Temu Wirasa Stakeholders event, according to NusaBali. Bank Indonesia’s August 2026 provincial economic report also gives the same 5.4%-5.9% growth range.

The central bank said agriculture, construction, trade, accommodation and food services would support growth. Bank Indonesia’s report also identified tourism-related activity, household consumption and investment as important supports.

The outlook comes as Bali’s economy grew 5.78% year on year in the second quarter of 2026, up from 5.58% in the first quarter, according to Bank Indonesia. The second-quarter result was above Indonesia’s national growth of 5.29%.

Bank Indonesia said global geopolitical turbulence could moderate tourism-related sectors. The central bank expects Bali’s 2026 inflation to remain within the 2.5% target plus or minus 1 percentage point.

The projection is a range rather than a single forecast: the lower end is 5.4%, while the upper end is 5.9%. Bali Tribune reported that the outlook was presented alongside calls for closer coordination among Bank Indonesia, the provincial government and other stakeholders.
