Klungkung — The Klungkung Regency Government signed a memorandum of understanding with PT Ctrip Internasional Indonesia and inaugurated a new automated retribution post at Kelingking Beach in Nusa Penida on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026.

The partnership supports the arrangement and construction of infrastructure at government-managed tourist attractions. The private company handed over physical buildings and tourism-support facilities to the regency government, including the Kelingking Beach retribution post, pergolas at Kelingking and other attractions, and facilities for Balawista, the water-tourism rescue service.

The new post replaces a structure that had been only a tent. It also provides an information-service center and three automated ticket-purchasing machines with multilingual service. The ceremony was attended by Klungkung Regent I Made Satria, Deputy Regent Tjokorda Gde Surya Putra, Acting Regional Secretary I Gusti Agung Gde Putra Mahajaya and other officials, along with executives of PT Ctrip Internasional Indonesia.

Why the automated post matters to visitors

For visitors, the installation puts ticket collection and information services in a permanent facility at one of Nusa Penida’s main attractions. Foreign visitors should understand that the post forms part of Klungkung’s broader retribution system, which includes collection at the tourism area and at destinations operating under the One Gate One Destination scheme. The reports do not state a new fee in connection with the inauguration.

The arrangement follows the regency’s effort to formalize tourism services across Nusa Penida. Earlier reporting identified Kelingking Beach among the destinations operating within the integrated collection system. The new equipment is intended to support payment processing at the attraction, while the donated buildings and facilities expand the infrastructure available to the government-managed site.

The reports do not state a further timetable or additional operational change after the inauguration.
