Denpasar — The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) Denpasar forecast partly cloudy conditions across Bali on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, with maximum temperatures reaching 34°C. Sea waves were forecast at 0,5–1,5 metres in northern Bali and 0,5–2,5 metres in southern Bali.
The forecast also identified higher waves at monitored ports. At 14.00 WITA, or 2 p.m. Central Indonesia Time, Sanur, Nusa Penida and Serangan were reported to have waves of 1,25–2,5 metres. Wind speeds across Bali were expected to range from 4–32 kilometres per hour.
Why the forecast matters for sea travel
The conditions matter to visitors using Bali’s fast-boat and other marine connections, particularly around the southern waters. The figures describe forecast sea conditions rather than a blanket closure or a decision to suspend services. Travellers heading through Sanur, Nusa Penida or Serangan would encounter the locations specifically identified in the forecast as having the highest reported wave range.
A separate Bali Post report also described partly cloudy weather for Bali on Wednesday, Oct. 21, and cited BMKG forecasts of waves reaching 2,5 metres in the southern waters. It gave a broader temperature range of 20–34°C and said no Bali regency or city was under a rain warning from 08.00 WITA on Oct. 21 to 08.00 WITA on Oct. 22.
