Denpasar — Commission IV of the Bali Provincial House of Representatives held a fit-and-proper test for nine candidates for members of the Bali Provincial Regional Child Protection Commission on October 21, 2026. Five candidates will be selected for the 2026–2031 term.

The test took place in the Meeting Room of the Deliberation Body at the Bali Provincial House of Representatives Office. The chair of Commission IV of the Bali House of Representatives, I Nyoman Suwirta, said the selection was running smoothly and was aimed at choosing members able to carry out child-protection duties and fulfill children’s rights in Bali.

Five Bali Regional Child Protection Commission members scheduled to be announced on October 26

The Regional Child Protection Commission, or KPAD, is a regional institution focused on child protection. For foreign nationals living in Bali, the institution handles child-protection issues and the fulfillment of children’s rights, not direct changes to visa rules, residence permits, or immigration services.

The candidates had passed several stages before taking the fit-and-proper test, including a written test, psychological test, interview, paper presentation, and in-depth material assessment. The results are scheduled to be submitted by the Bali House of Representatives to the Governor of Bali on October 22, 2026.

The announcement of the five selected Bali Regional Child Protection Commission members for the 2026–2031 term is scheduled for October 26, 2026.
