Bangli — Bangli plans to add IDR 500 million (about US$30,700) in regional capital investment to PT Jamkrida Bali Mandara through its 2026 regional budget. The plan was presented at a Bangli Regional House of Representatives plenary meeting on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

The funding is intended to strengthen credit-guarantee services and widen access to formal financing for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Bangli. The policy targets businesses that face difficulties meeting financing requirements, particularly collateral and creditworthiness assessments.

PT Jamkrida Bali Mandara will provide support in accordance with its rules and policies. Reports on the plan said its expected benefits would also reach farmers, tourism businesses, artisans, and traders, rather than only MSMEs generally.

Why This Matters to Readers

For business owners or prospective foreign borrowers lawfully operating in Bangli, the plan means the local government is preparing a guarantee mechanism to help businesses that struggle to meet conventional lending requirements. It is not an announcement that every applicant will automatically receive credit: recipients and requirements will remain subject to PT Jamkrida Bali Mandara’s policies.

In practice, the local government’s capital investment will operate through a guarantee institution, rather than as direct cash assistance to all businesses. The stated objective is to open access to financing from financial institutions and expand guarantee services for eligible businesses.

The plan forms part of a draft regional regulation submitted by the Bangli Regency Government to the Bangli Regional House of Representatives. A NusaBali report said the policy was expected to encourage business growth and strengthen the economy of Bangli’s communities.

The Bangli Regional House of Representatives also requested that the deliberation address transparency, accountability, risk management, and the investment’s contribution to locally generated revenue. Council factions sought explanations about the investment amount, intended beneficiaries, the basis for calculating the additional capital, and oversight mechanisms.
