Kintamani — The Manca Wali Krama Tawur Agung ceremony at Tri Kahyangan Jagat Pura Hulundanu Batur in Songan, Kintamani, Bangli, concluded successfully on Oct. 12, 2026, after Ida Sesuhunan returned to its resting place.
The ceremony’s organisers expressed their appreciation to the customary community of Songan for its voluntary service throughout each stage of the ritual. The Bali Post report said the religious observances proceeded smoothly, orderly and solemnly.
The ceremony reflects Songan’s continuing cultural obligations
For visitors and foreign residents, the event illustrates that major temple ceremonies in Bali are community responsibilities as well as religious observances. The report described the participation of the Songan customary community, including the temple priests, organisers and customary members, as central to the ceremony’s completion.
The ceremony took place at Pura Hulundanu Batur, a temple in Desa Adat Songan, within Kintamani in Bangli. Its completion followed the return of Ida Sesuhunan, marking the end of the reported ritual sequence. The report did not state any visitor restrictions, access rules or changes to tourism services.
The ceremony is part of the Manca Wali Krama Tawur Agung tradition at Pura Hulundanu Batur. Earlier reporting described the wider observance as a large-scale ritual held over an extended period, with stages scheduled between August and October 2026. Separate coverage reported that the ceremony takes place on a 10-year cycle.
No further ceremony, administrative action or public schedule was stated in the reports reviewed.
