Denpasar — The Bali International 9-Ball RBC Open 2026 is being held in Denpasar from Oct. 6 to Oct. 9, with 128 players competing in the tournament, according to reports published Oct. 8 and Oct. 9.
The event marks the first time Bali has hosted a fully open 9-ball championship. Balipost.com reported that 70 of the 128 participants are international players, while NusaBali described the field as including players ranked from No. 1 through No. 12 in the world. The reports list competitors from countries including Argentina, Russia, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Laos, Canada and Thailand.
Why the 128-player field matters to Bali
For foreign visitors and residents, the tournament places an international cue-sports event at RBC Billiard & Cafe in Denpasar. NusaBali reported that the venue is on Jalan Bung Karno No. 40, Dangin Puri Klod, Denpasar. The event also gives eight Balinese players an opportunity to compete against leading international players, according to the report.
The tournament carries a total prize pool of Rp598 million (about US$37,000). The champion is set to receive Rp200 million (about US$12,400), the runner-up Rp100 million (about US$6,200) and semifinalists Rp35 million (about US$2,200). The competition began with the Last 128 round on Oct. 6, followed by the Last 64 on Oct. 8. The final day, Oct. 9, includes the Last 16 through Last 8 rounds, followed by the semifinals and final.
NusaBali reported that the event is supported by RBC funding and is planned to return next year, with the possibility of a larger total prize pool.
