Denpasar — PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) Unit Induk Distribusi Bali scheduled maintenance-related power interruptions in several parts of Bali on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026. The listed areas include Sanur, the Canggu area of Mengwi, Petulu village in Ubud, Karangasem and Bangli.
The maintenance is intended to improve the electricity system and maintain supply quality. The interruptions affect locations served by PLN’s Bali Selatan and Bali Timur customer-service units, with different sites assigned separate time windows.
In Sanur, Jalan Pulau Bungin is listed for an interruption from 10:00 to 13:00 WITA (UTC+8), while Jalan Raya Pemogan is listed from 13:00 to 16:00 WITA. Around Jalan Raya Canggu in Mengwi, the scheduled window is 10:30 to 13:30 WITA.
In the Bali Timur service area, Desa Petulu Ubud is listed from 10:00 to 12:00 WITA. RSUD Klungkung, under the Karangasem unit listing, is scheduled from 14:00 to 16:00 WITA, and Desa Kubusuih in Bangli is listed from 12:00 to 14:00 WITA.
Why the Bali outage schedule matters
For foreign residents, visitors and businesses in the affected areas, a scheduled interruption can temporarily disrupt electricity-dependent activities and services, including accommodation operations, payment systems, communications and work equipment. The published schedule applies to listed locations, not necessarily every address in the wider district.
PLN said the work involves maintenance and network strengthening. The schedule may change at any time to reflect technical conditions in the field, so the published time windows should be treated as operational plans rather than guarantees. PLN also urged residents to adjust activities that require electricity while the maintenance is underway.
The notices cover Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026. No broader closure or islandwide outage was reported in the cited reports; the stated impact is limited to specified locations and periods.
