Sanur — Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital will hold Bali Tech Week 2026 from 19 to 23 October at the Bali Beach Convention Center in Sanur, according to the ministry’s event information and reports by Bali Post and Jakarta Globe.

Why it matters: The five-day programme will bring investors, technology companies and policymakers together in Sanur and may create business and policy opportunities across Indonesia’s digital economy.

The ministry is presenting the event as a platform to attract investment and rebuild investor confidence in Indonesia’s digital ecosystem. Minister Meutya Hafid said it will also allow the government to collect industry input on policies intended to support investment and digital-sector development.

The programme will bring together investors, technology companies, government officials and other ecosystem participants. It will include 13 conferences and technology programmes covering areas such as connectivity, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, gaming, financial technology and digital infrastructure.

Organisers are targeting 5,000 participants from 37 countries across the full programme, Jakarta Globe reported. The main Bali Tech Week Conference had 1,785 registered participants from 30 countries at the time of the 13 October briefing, while the target for that conference was 4,000 participants.

The event’s agenda includes business matchmaking between startups, investors and corporate or ecosystem stakeholders, alongside policy discussions and sector-specific meetings. The ministry’s stated aim is to strengthen collaboration and improve regulatory certainty for Indonesia’s digital economy.

Edwin Hidayat Abdullah, director general of the ministry’s Digital Ecosystem Directorate General, said the programme would address technology sectors ranging from connectivity and cybersecurity to artificial intelligence, gaming and financial technology.

Bali Tech Week is scheduled to run through 23 October, with its activities taking place in Sanur.
