Denpasar — Bali Governor Wayan Koster summoned representatives of Pertamina Patra Niaga and the Bali chapter of the Indonesian Association of Oil and Gas Entrepreneurs on Monday, 12 October 2026, over fuel shortages and queues at petrol stations in Bali.
Why it matters: Fuel shortages and empty petrol stations affected motorists in parts of Bali, while Pertamina scheduled additional deliveries through 16 October 2026.
The shortage had lasted about a week, according to Bali Post. Koster said a Pertamina fuel tanker carrying 18,000 kilolitres of Pertalite and 2,500 kilolitres of Pertamax had arrived in Bali on Sunday, 11 October, and that distribution to petrol stations began on Monday.
Pertamina said it was also arranging additional deliveries totalling 26,200 kilolitres. Detik Bali reported that the cargoes were scheduled to arrive on 12, 14 and 16 October at the Sanggaran and Manggis fuel terminals.
The company said deliveries to petrol stations would be adjusted to local stock levels and consumption. Reports on Monday said several stations in southern Denpasar had run out of Pertalite and Pertamax, while Bali Post reported that service was gradually returning to normal.
Koster said the additional tanker expected on Tuesday, 13 October, would help strengthen supplies. Pertamina said the scheduled deliveries were intended to maintain availability and meet Bali’s fuel demand.
