Denpasar — Pertamina Patra Niaga arranged 26,200 kilolitres of additional Pertalite and Pertamax fuel for Bali on October 13, 2026, as motorists queued at filling stations amid shortages reported across the island.
Why it matters: Motorists across Bali faced fuel queues while Pertamina arranged 26,200 kilolitres of additional supply and 92 stations in Denpasar and Badung prepared to operate 24 hours.
The company scheduled deliveries through the Sanggaran and Manggis fuel terminals on October 12, 14 and 16. The initial shipments included 18,000 kilolitres of Pertalite and 2,500 kilolitres of Pertamax, according to reports citing Pertamina Patra Niaga’s regional management.
Queues were reported in Denpasar, Badung, Tabanan, Klungkung and other parts of Bali. In Klungkung, Pertalite was reported unavailable at three stations: Besang, Siku and Batu Tabih.
Pertamina President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri said a tanker had experienced difficulties anchoring during unloading, delaying the operation by several hours. He also cited increased demand, particularly for subsidised Pertalite.
Governor Wayan Koster said the fuel was available at the Manggis and Sanggaran depots but that distribution to filling stations required time. He said supplies were expected to return to normal within one to two days.
Pertamina also planned to operate 92 filling stations in Denpasar and Badung around the clock from the night of October 13. The Sanggaran and Manggis depots were likewise scheduled to operate 24 hours, while stations in Gianyar and Tabanan were expected to adopt extended hours within one to two days.
Pertamina said Bali’s average daily Pertalite consumption was about 2,200 kilolitres. The additional deliveries were intended to support availability while distribution recovered.
