Sarbagita corridor — Bali’s provincial transportation agency said on 7 October 2026 that passenger operations for 11 electric Trans Sarbagita buses are targeted to begin on 1 November, following a launch ceremony scheduled for 22 October.
Why it matters: From 1 November 2026, residents and visitors on the GOR Ngurah Rai–Udayana University–Garuda Wisnu Kencana corridor are targeted to have access to an electric-bus trial.
The buses had arrived in Bali and were being prepared for initial service on the corridor from GOR Ngurah Rai through Udayana University to the Garuda Wisnu Kencana area, according to Bali Post and Tribun Bali reports citing Bali Transportation Agency head I Kadek Mudarta.
The schedule was moved from an earlier October target. Bali Post reported that the agency said the 11 buses were ready for operation, while Tribun Bali reported that charging facilities had been prepared at the Bali Transportation Agency office and GOR Ngurah Rai.
The initial service is planned as a trial on the existing Trans Sarbagita corridor. Global Green Growth Institute said the Bali E-Mobility project includes 11 electric buses, six fast chargers at two charging stations and a 53-kilometre round-trip route between GOR Ngurah Rai and Garuda Wisnu Kencana.
The institute said one bus is accessible for people with disabilities. It also said the project is intended to support a broader green-transport investment roadmap for Bali, in cooperation with Indonesian national agencies and the provincial government.
