Denpasar — Universitas Udayana and Universitas Warmadewa shifted academic operations online or to adjusted arrangements from Oct. 14 through Oct. 16, 2026, as Bali faced limited fuel supplies.

Universitas Warmadewa conducted classes online for three days, from Oct. 14 to Oct. 16. Universitas Udayana adjusted lectures and administrative work over the same period, with administrative activities conducted through work-from-home arrangements. The measures were intended to keep teaching and university services operating while reducing routine travel to campus.

Why the university changes matter to Bali residents

For students, lecturers and staff, the changes mean that scheduled lectures, academic guidance and examinations may take place remotely, while administrative services continue through adjusted work arrangements. The reports say university units were expected to organize the practical details, including schedules, learning platforms, examinations and activities requiring physical attendance.

The measures followed a fuel-supply disruption in Bali that affected daily travel. Universitas Udayana’s policy also covered adjustments to administrative activities and remained in effect through Oct. 16. Universitas Warmadewa asked its faculties to coordinate online classes so that learning continued according to schedule and academic outcomes remained aligned with the established semester learning plan.

The changes were temporary and tied to conditions surrounding fuel availability. The reports do not state a further timetable beyond Oct. 16, 2026.
