Gorontalo — A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck 29 kilometers northwest of Pohuwato, Gorontalo, on Oct. 12, 2026, and was reported as having no tsunami potential. The earthquake occurred at 04:34:53 WITA.
The earthquake was recorded in the latest earthquake information published by the Bali Provincial Disaster Management Agency (BPBD Bali). That listing gave the event’s coordinates as 0.64 degrees north latitude and 121.75 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 76 kilometers. The listed location was 29 kilometers northwest of Pohuwato-Gorontalo.
