Denpasar — Denpasar recorded annual inflation of 3,63 persen in October 2026, with fuel, bird’s-eye chili, prepared rice meals, house rent and canang sari among the items contributing to the increase, according to data from the Denpasar Statistics Agency reported on Nov. 6.

The city’s monthly inflation was 0,18 persen, while inflation from the beginning of the year reached 3,08 persen. The consumer price index stood at 115,34.

Why Denpasar’s 3,63 persen inflation matters to households

For foreign residents and visitors, the figures describe changes in the prices of everyday goods and services in Denpasar rather than a separate charge or new rule. Food, household fuel, rental housing and prepared meals are among the categories that can affect living costs directly, while canang sari reflects a locally specific item included in the city’s inflation basket.

Fuel, bird’s-eye chili, wet cakes, rice with side dishes, house rent, canang sari, machine-made white cigarettes, cooking oil, pepes, bottled water, household fuel, rice, jewelry gold, pork, air transport, fried chicken, kindergarten education, academy and higher-education fees, maintenance and laundry costs contributed to annual inflation.

Denpasar’s October annual inflation was 3,63 persen, and monthly price pressure was linked to red chili, bird’s-eye chili, mustard greens, white cabbage, green beans, pork and laptops. Officials were watching distribution conditions and food-price movements.

Vegetables and chili may remain sensitive during the rainy season, making food prices a continuing focus for households and local inflation officials. Continued monitoring and coordination on inflation control remain the stated focus.
