Denpasar — Bali’s economy grew 5.85% year on year in the third quarter of 2026, the Bali Statistics Agency said on November 5, with growth higher than in the previous quarter but below the 5.88% recorded a year earlier.

Why it matters: Businesses and investors can distinguish Bali’s 5.85% provincial growth from the 6.08% performance reported for the wider Bali-Nusa Tenggara region.

The economy expanded 0.42% from the second quarter, while cumulative growth through the first nine months of 2026 reached 5.74%, according to data reported by Bali Post.

At constant prices, Bali’s regional gross domestic product reached 47.53 trillion rupiah in the third quarter, up from 44.91 trillion rupiah in the same quarter of 2025. At current prices, the figure reached 90.41 trillion rupiah.

The quarterly growth path strengthened during 2026, rising from 5.58% in the first quarter to 5.78% in the second and 5.85% in the third, Bali Post reported.

National Statistics Agency data reported by detikFinance showed the wider Bali-Nusa Tenggara region grew 6.08% year on year in the third quarter, the fastest rate among Indonesia’s major regions. The regional expansion was supported by mining, manufacturing and trade.

The Bali figure and the wider regional figure measure different geographic areas and should not be treated as interchangeable. The Bali result is a provincial measure, while the 6.08% figure covers Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara.
