The blaze was reported at around 1 p.m. WITA. According to Jembrana Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) head I Ketut Eko Susilo Artha Permana, the agency’s Firefighting and Rescue Division was deployed to handle the incident at the site.

Eko Susilo said the firefighting unit responded immediately after receiving the report, working to contain and extinguish the flames on the farm plot. He added that the team ensured the situation on site could be handled safely and that the operation ran without disruption.
The official also reminded residents to remain alert to fire risks on open land, especially during dry conditions when vegetation and other materials are more flammable. He has previously urged the public to avoid activities that can trigger fires, such as careless burning of rubbish or discarding cigarette butts on dry ground, and to report any outbreak quickly so it can be tackled before spreading.
According to the RRI.co.id report on the Yehkuning incident, key details included:

- Reported start: about 1 p.m. WITA on Tuesday, 15 September 2026

The incident adds to a series of land and vegetation fires recorded in Jembrana during the 2026 dry season. In separate cases in August and early September, fire services reported blazes on dry land, farm plots and bamboo stands in several parts of the regency, often highlighting residents’ negligence such as rubbish burning or discarded cigarette butts as suspected triggers.
Regional coverage of the 2026 dry season in Bali has noted multiple forest and land fires across several regencies, including Jembrana, alongside widespread drought conditions. In response, local authorities have repeatedly called on communities to exercise caution in open areas, avoid unsafe burning practices and cooperate with emergency services when incidents occur.
As of mid-September, officials had not announced any specific new restrictions on open burning in Jembrana in connection with the Yehkuning case, but they continued to stress preventive measures and rapid reporting as essential to limiting the impact of land fires.
